The Myer Foundation was established in 1959 by Sidney’s sons, Baillieu Myer AC and the late Kenneth Myer AC DSC, as a way to support initiatives and new opportunities arising from contemporary issues. The Myer Foundation was further endowed through Kenneth Myer’s estate following his death in 1992.
