The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) promotes Prem Rawat’s message of peace and his vision of addressing fundamental human needs so that people everywhere can live with dignity, peace, and prosperity.
Founded in 2001, TPRF works to extend the outreach of Prem Rawat’s message of peace throughout the world. TPRF also provides aid for people in urgent need of life-sustaining resources like food and water, especially in areas where funds from larger foundations may not be available.
When people are in need of essentials like food and water, TPRF partners with local and international organizations to help provide the needed aid directly and efficiently. The aim is to give people a second chance in life while respecting their dignity and their local culture. As Prem Rawat expresses it, "Their objective is to help people through the rough times without interfering with the beautiful things that exist in their culture, their beliefs, or their religion. When they offer a hand of help, it is on equal ground, with respect for each person as a human being.”
The efforts of TPRF are funded by the generosity of donors from over 50 countries. Most of the Foundation’s staff, including the Board of Directors, are volunteers. The Board of Directors covers over 50% of total non-program costs. One hundred percent of donations designated for a specific program are allocated that program.
Programs
Humanitarian Aid
The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) focuses its humanitarian-aid efforts on providing the essential needs of food and water to people most in need, whether it is due to extreme poverty or natural disasters. In addition, the Foundation helps to provide eye care to people who might otherwise be in danger of losing their eyesight.
Peace Education Program
The Peace Education Program (PEP) is an innovative educational program, facilitated by TPRF volunteers with a curriculum that consists of 10 videos, each focusing on a particular theme. The purpose of this educational program is to help participants discover their own inner resources—innate tools for living such as inner strength, choice, and hope—and the possibility of personal peace. These customized, interactive workshops are non-religious and non-sectarian.
