The Reformation Project

The Reformation Project is a Bible-based, Christian grassroots organization that works to promote inclusion of LGBTQ people by reforming church teaching on sexual orientation and gender identity. We envision a global church that fully affirms LGBTQ people. Bible Teaching The Reformation Project is ommitted to demonstrating how Christians can both fully affirm the authority of the Bible and fully affirm LGBTQ people in the life of the church. Educating and training Christians on the biblical case for LGBTQ inclusion is central to their work. Grassroot Organizing It adheres to the old adage "nothing about us without us" and are committed to achieving collective empowerment in a way that values relationships and is shaped by the leadership of those we represent. It works to build its influence and impact by cultivating emerging leaders, connecting them to its greater network, and equipping them with the knowledge and hard skills that have been historically proven effective in grassroots efforts for justice. Intersectional Approach In order to achieve its vision of a global church that fully affirms all LGBTQ people, it works to center marginalized voices in their own community: queer people of color, transgender people, women, and other marginalized groups.
