The foundations of Tekfen Agricultural Industrial Group that has a paramount position in Turkish agriculture and that sustains its operations sophisticatedly in different fields of agriculture was set in 1974 by establishing Toros Gübre (Toros Fertilizers). After Ceyhan, the first production plant, had been put into service in 1981, new production plants were added and other agricultural fields accompanied the fertilizer production in time and thus the activities of the group were enriched.

Today, Toros Agri is carrying on its activities in a rather wider range. Among the activities directly related with agriculture, the chemical fertilizer is the primary activity. Toros Agri realizes the production activities in the Ceyhan, Mersin and Samsun plants that hold 38% of the established production capacity in Turkey with 1.930 million tones. Toros Agri that offers a wide range of product portfolio to the farmers through import, apart from its own production capacity, sustains its distribution activities, which is the other important element of its success, with its nationwide 7 regional offices, product warehouses with 550.000 tons capacity and approximately 800 dealers spread around all over the country. Having a logistically strong infrastructure plays an important role in Toros Agri’s sustaining its active position in the market.
