Transparency International France is the French section of Transparency International, a global movement driven by a vision: a world in which states, businesses, civil society, and individuals in their daily lives are spared from corruption in all its forms. With over 100 chapters around the world and an international secretariat in Berlin, they lead the fight against corruption to make this vision a reality.
Their values are justice, democracy, transparency, accountability, integrity, solidarity, and courage.
The “ Badly Acquired Goods ” affair, relating to the French heritage of several foreign heads of state, and their mobilization on the bills that followed the shock of the Cahuzac affair, in particular, showed their ability to bring to the fore public debate on the theme of the fight against corruption, in France and abroad.
Through their action, they wish to contribute to getting out of the crisis of confidence which is undermining French democracy today and living it together. This issue of trust in institutions, public speech, and economic players is at the heart of their advocacy: on the transparency of lobbying, on the prevention of conflicts of interest, on the protection of whistleblowers, and on ' judicial independence.
