Trócaire is the overseas development agency of the Catholic Church in Ireland. Trócaire was set up in 1973 to express the concern of the Irish Catholic Church for the suffering of people living in the world’s poorest regions.
Today Trócaire works in partnership with local and church organisations, supporting communities in over 20 developing countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East to bring about lasting change.

In 2014/15, Trócaire spent almost €58 million helping to improve the lives of an estimated 2.4 million people directly - and over 19 million people indirectly - in some of the poorest places in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.
What They Do
