Tulipe
About

Tulipe is an organisation that federates donations made by health companies to provide an emergency response to the needs of populations in distress as a result of acute health crises, natural disasters or conflicts. Its involvement takes the form of kits (or tin trunks) of new medicines that can be provided in a very short time frame and that are adapted to needs in the field.

Donating health products is Tulipe’s core activity.

Acting as the interface between health companies and humanitarian organisations that work with populations in distress, Tulipe makes available new health products in the form of kits that are ready for use and adapted to emergency situations such as natural disasters or conflicts.

In exceptional circumstances, any kits that are not used in emergencies can be re-allocated to longer term aid programmes.

In all cases, Tulipe works in accordance with the Guidelines for Drug Donations issued by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

By donating health products to Tulipe, a pharmaceutical establishment set up for humanitarian purposes, companies transfer their pharmaceutical responsibility to Tulipe for the products donated.
