ITCEQ is a public non- administrative institution under supervision of the Ministry of Development Investment and International Cooperation.

The center conducts, since its creation in 1973, Economic studies for public and private institutions.

Provides monitoring and analysis work on the Tunisian economy and its determinants at the product level and at the macroeconomic, sectoral and regional levels.

Conducts surveys on the competitiveness of companies and business climate.

Carries out economic and social studies relating to development prospects and issues included in development plans and the impact of political, economic and social reforms on the achievement of development goals, particularly studies on the knowledge economy, integration, financial policies,
social change and human resources.

Develops techniques, indicators and databases and develops the necessary models for studies conduction.

Exchange working relationships with research centers and similar national and international specialized organizations and supervises researchers in partnership with academic institutions.
