Tunisie Autoroutes is a Tunisian mixed economy joint-stock company with a private law status. It was founded on May 13th 1992. The company’s main missions are:

• - Operate highways in Tunisia through tolls, in compliance with agreements made with Tunisian government.
• - Maintain highways network the company is operating.
• - Construct and operate new sections of highways, as well as furniture or fixture, commercial and financial transactions directly or indirectly related to the company’s object.

Tunisie Autoroutes is a private law joint-stock company. It is governed by a board of directors of 12 members made of:

• - 8 representatives of the licensor (representing the Tunisian government)
• - 1 representative of public companies sector
• - 1 banks and financial institutions sector
• - 1 government controller
