History
The UNAM Foundation, AC, is an autonomous non-profit civil association that was established on January 8, 1993, to provide financial support to students from families with modest resources who perform well in school. The goal is to offer financial assistance that allows these students to focus on their studies without the need to work to support their families. In this way, the Foundation helps make the impossible possible, turning their dreams of higher education into a reality.
Work
In its 31 years of uninterrupted service, the Foundation has benefited thousands of students by providing maintenance scholarships for university studies. It also offers nutritional support to those with low academic performance and limited resources. Additionally, the Foundation helps students improve their English language skills, a vital tool in the globalized world. It enables others who excel academically to pursue studies at academic institutions abroad. The Foundation also promotes health brigades in underserved communities, supports spaces for sustainable development, and works to improve public health. It actively promotes culture, creates opportunities for reflection on major global trends, and fosters change, among other initiatives.
