The year 2018 was completed with a new business volume of around EUR 1.3 billion. Our 260 employees at 11 locations are responsible for overseeing 14,000 customers. History UniCredit Leasing was founded in 1963 at a time when leasing in Germany was an unknown phenomenon and was viewed with mild distrust. Founded in Hamburg as Hanseatische Industriemaschinenvermietung GmbH, they were able to acquire a wealth of experience, especially in the field of industrial machinery leasing. In the more than 50 years of their existence, they contributed significantly to the development and positioning of the product leasing. As a founding member of the Association of German Leasing Companies (BDL), they assume a prominent role in the introduction of legal framework conditions for leasing. As part of their association activities, they are active to this day in all association committees and promote all activities that serve the growth of the leasing market. But initially it was called "growing" for UniCredit Leasing. In the years after the foundation, they expanded their locations. At first the southern part of Germany was opened up and after the fall of the Wall further branches in Berlin, Dresden and Erfurt were added. After the merger of their "mother", now UniCredit Bank AG, with the UniCredit Group in 2005, they became part of the UniCredit Group. Together with the other leasing companies of the UniCredit Group, they  are today one of the leading providers of leasing products in Europe with a network of leasing companies in 17 countries
