On November 20, 1989, the member states of the United Nations (UN) adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Since then, UNICEF has been tasked by the UN to check whether countries actually realize children's rights.
Together with others they want to give every child the opportunity to be a child. Every child must be able to grow up healthy, develop and get the best out of life. It doesn't matter to us where they live, what they believe in and what their origin is. They are there, unconditionally, for every child.
