In Equatorial Guinea, the proposed UNDP program has been prepared in close consultation with the Government and it supports the same within the framework of United Nations programming processes such as the CCA. Common Country Assessment (ECP) ), the UNDAF (For centuries in English. United Nations Development Assistance Management (UNDAF)), the CPD and the CPAP. The current cooperation framework covered the periods 2013-2017, which has been extended for an additional year and ending in 2018.
Said framework, extended, will cover some new projects, closing those already completed in the final stretch of 2019.
The Program aims to achieve situations of greater equity in Equatorial Guinea, with initiatives aimed at ensuring that the economic growth resulting from oil exploitation is sustainable with respect to the environment and also benefits the poor sectors of the population. To this end, the proposed Program has as a fundamental axis of intervention the strengthening of national capacities to expand the opportunities of Guineans, improve public management and achieve sustainable management of natural resources.
