UNDP supports Honduras to promote sustainable development, under an approach of resilience and inclusion.

At the request of the State of Honduras, UNDP supports the State's efforts to work for sustainable development, complementing with its work the national objectives and priorities defined in the Country Vision, Nation Plan and the current Strategic Plan of the Government, the same as in turn, they are closely linked to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals .

Considering this context, UNDP develops a Country Program Document every four years that defines the areas of intervention, the territories and the strategies that UNDP will use to implement its activities. In addition, the Country Program is aligned with the objectives and programs indicated in the United Nations Assistance Framework that the United Nations System has signed with the Government of Honduras.
