UWS is an independent charity providing the opportunity to read, write and count to children who have been denied access to education. United World Schools creates educational opportunity for children living in the world’s poorest regions. They are driven by their global mission to help reach children that do not receive even the most basic education.

United World Schools is dedicated to improving the educational opportunities for the world’s poor and marginalised children. They build schools and support communities by providing a free basic education for children who would otherwise go without.

UWS has a very strong sense of social purpose combined with a balanced sustainable model that focuses on educating children in post-conflict developing countries whilst stimulating global cultural exchange and understanding.

They are at a pivotal stage of their development, and have ambitious plans to grow and extend the impact on young people worldwide. UWS pilot phase (2009-11), driven by the effort of its founder working with indigenous people in remote north-east Cambodia, has demonstrated the viability, affordability and strength of its model.

By actively partnering the newly built and run UWS community schools in poor and remote regions of the world with affluent ‘western’ schools and organisations, theyhave a sustainable model that works. UWS now has a genuine opportunity to expand its global reach.
