The Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) is a Higher Education Center that emerged in 1982 as a result of the initiative expressed by the Ibero-American Cooperation Institute and a Steering Committee in the Dominican Republic. It acquired its legal personality by Decree No. 3371 of July 12, 1982. The academic life of UNIBE began on the first day of September 1983, offering courses in Law, Engineering and Medicine. The following year, he offers a degree in Business Administration and Architecture, as early as May 1985 the Odontology career, attracting a first group of Spanish students to the School of Dentistry, due to the facilities and the quality of the education offered in this area.
Throughout the years, UNIBE has expanded its offerings in other areas, offering 17 careers in total, with an enrollment of over 5,000 students and 13,000 graduates.
