UWI Consulting Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of The University of the West Indies (UWI). Their mission is to contribute to the unlocking of the development potential of the people and institutions of the Caribbean by providing professional advice and capacity building services. They are committed to providing world-class services that support governments, the private sector, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and civil society groups, in developing and implementing policies and strategies that positively impact the development of the Region.
UWI Consulting was created in 2007 as an initiative of the Vice Chancellor of the UWI, Professor E. Nigel Harris. Since 2008, they have been offering research and professional services that promote creative and innovative practices in a wide range of areas such as health, education, sustainable development, environmental management, institutional reform, business process re-engineering, small island development states (SIDS), technology governance, trade policy formulation and economic growth. They provide these services through the implementation of programmes and projects in the public and private sectors, including on the behalf of international organizations. As a gateway to specialized expertise across four major international campuses, UWI Consulting is the first port of call for all those seeking to find the highest calibre of expertise and advice.
