Every one who is willing to work hard to earn a college degree should have the opportunity to attend a quality public university. Unfortunately, many people today cannot afford it.
That is why the University System of Georgia Foundation has set increasing need-based scholarship aid to USG-bound students as our number one priority. It is our goal to make it possible that a deserving student who would not otherwise be able to, attend a public college or university anywhere across the state… because it is an investment in Georgia’s future.
“No one should be denied a quality college education because they cannot afford to attend.” That’s not just a catchphrase or slogan: It is at the heart of everything we do.
The University System of Georgia Foundation is committed to supporting and advancing the work of the University System of Georgia by maintaining a solid framework of fundraising, relationship building, and financial management. This is accomplished through:
Hosting an annual event to raise funds, recognize outstanding faculty and alumni, and provide networking opportunities for college presidents, regents, trustees, and higher education, corporate and political leaders,
Seeking corporate partners to provide scholarships to students on multiple campuses,
Establishing and managing the USG Real Estate Foundation to facilitate financing of capital improvement projects at USG institutions, and
Managing the finances of USG program funds and private grant awards held in the Foundation.
