As an “advocate for environmental and human rights”, they give those affected a voice. For them, they put pressure on investors, banks and politicians. They are a point of contact for them if their rights are violated with the participation of German or European donors abroad. They ensure that displaced smallholders, activists against cluster bombs, opponents of nuclear power and climate protection activists from all over the world are heard at shareholder meetings, press conferences and in the boardrooms of German companies and banks. If that is not enough, they mobilize with protest and consumer campaigns.
