The Institute is established by the Government in accordance with Decree No. 50/2015/ND-CP (dated May 18, 2015) of the Government on the establishment of the Vietnam-Korea Institute of Science and Technology and is directly under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The official English name of the Institute is: the Vietnam - Korea Institute of Science and Technology (V-KIST).

General Introduction

VKIST is a new public agency on science and technology under the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). It has been established through a joint project between Vietnamese and Korean Governments following the Presidential Agreement on September 9, 2013.
