Article 1. Establishment of Vietnam National Mine Action Center

Transaction name in English: Vietnam National Mine Action Center (abbreviated as VNMAC);

Vietnam National Mine Action Center has its own seal and account;

Vietnam National Mine Action Center has its headquarters, training center, testing area, material facilities to ensure mobilization, receiving funding, receiving equipment and a logistic area. art.

Article 2. Vietnam National Mine Action Center is an organization under the direction of the Prime Minister; assigning the Ministry of Defense to directly manage to carry out the operation and coordinate the implementation of the tasks of the National Action Program to overcome the consequences of bombs and mines after the war (referred to as Program 504).

Article 3. Vietnam National Mine Action Center shall:
a) Leading and coordinating with relevant agencies to study and propose policies, define objectives, develop long-term, medium-term and short-term plans to overcome consequences of mines and ERW; coordinate with ministries, branches and localities in implementing approved plans; manage, monitor and summarize the implementation of the plan to report to the Prime Minister.

b) Being the main focal point for implementing international cooperation activities, mobilizing national grants in the field of post-war mine recovery in Vietnam.

c) Implementation of propaganda and sponsorship; preside over the organization of activities to improve the capacity of the forces involved in the aftermath of landmine / UXO consequences.

d) Preside over the management of mine and disaster recovery information after the war.

d) To be responsible for developing, organizing and implementing the monitoring, quality monitoring and evaluation of the Program implementation results and reporting to the Prime Minister.

e) Coordinate implementation of projects, tasks of mine clearance, support for mine / UXO survivors, propaganda to prevent landmine / UXO accidents and other tasks under the 504 Program.

g) Coordinate and guide social organizations to operate in the field of landmine / post-war remedies.
