Visionaria Network envisions a world where women and girls are confident, inspired and able to realize their visions for improving themselves and their communities.
Their mission is to foster a network of young, empowered female leaders who create and innovate sustainable development initiatives for their communities.
Visionaria Network Programs heighten aspirations, raise self-esteem and create new opportunities for young women through school-based curricula & social innovation projects.
Their primary program is "Visionaria for Schools", a school-based model for facilitating personal agency, innovation, and leadership opportunities among girls through skill-building and engagement with diverse community stakeholders (community leaders, government officials, businesses, etc.)
They specialize in training and ongoing support, curriculum development, and social innovation through multi-disciplinary partnerships (education, social sector, private sector)
Their team's expertise includes international development projects in the areas of water, sanitation, household energy, and education, as well as vocational training programs for female entrepreneurs.
They have developed various training material and curricula to support women's empowerment, leadership, and business development. With Johns Hopkins University they developed the 'Empowered Entrepreneur Training Handbook' for the United Nations Foundation and support organizations interested in implementing it. They work with partners to adapt curricula to local contexts and needs through Human-Centered Design (HCD), conduct trainings for trainers, and assist with monitoring and evaluation efforts.
