VUNA’s mission is making coffee equitable and sustainable. This means building value chains that consider redistributing value and risk fairly among its players, from producer organizations, importers, roasters and end-consumer.
The company was founded by Sara Morrocchi in 2015. After many years working in green coffee sourcing and trading, she felt it was time to use her knowledge and experience in building better, stronger and more dynamic value chains that are human-centered and environmentally sound. Started as one-woman show, VUNA quickly became a collaboration platform among like-minded passionate and hard working individuals.
From leading week-long workshops on price risk management for coffee producers in Latin America to guiding coffee farmers in Myanmar on specialty market access, they have plenty of experience in origin countries. From designing a procurement plan for a specialty green bean importer in the Netherlands to managing green coffee quality control services for multiple companies, they also have plenty of experience in import countries.
