The world is getting closer: if Indians or Chinese eat more meat and use oil, food and petrol will become more expensive here. Conversely, the world influences the living conditions in Africa, Asia and Latin America with their consumption, their exports and their politics. Such interactions are crucial for the fight against poverty, for environmental and climate protection and for securing peace.
welt-sichten helps to better understand the connections - whether printed as a magazine or online with the website www.welt-sichten.org. The spectrum of topics ranges from global economy and development policy to climate change and environmental protection to peace issues and the role of religions.
The magazine offers analyses, reports, interviews and short reports, book and film tips every month. Each issue has a special focus. Authors from all over the world have their say, and they take up controversial debates in arguments and comments.
They keep you up to date on development policy at www.welt-sichten.org. Subscribers have access to all content from the three most recent issues. Older issues are free for everyone. Subscribe to their newsletter so you don't miss a thing – and follow them on Facebook and Twitter!
welt-sichten has been published since 2008 as a follow-up to the magazines " Eins Entwicklungspolitik " and " der überblick ", which were discontinued at the end of 2007. The publisher is a supporting association to which six Christian development organizations belong.
