The spectrum of topics ranges from global economy and development policy to climate change and environmental protection to peace issues and the role of religions.

welt-sichten has been published since 2008 as a follow-up to the magazines " Eins Entwicklungspolitik " and " der überblick ", which were discontinued at the end of 2007. The publisher is a supporting association to which six Christian development organizations belong.
