SOFEAPDI is incorporated under the number 004/2001 law that organizes ASSOCIATIONS NONPROFIT (ASBL) and public utility institution in the DRC. It has a legal personality published under the ministerial decree number 201/06 / CAB / Minj / 2006 of 23 June 2006. SOFEPADI aims to promote and defend the rights of women and girls; to educate for peace and peaceful coexistence between communities and to involve women in decision making.

The mission of SOFEPADI is the promotion and defense of specific rights of women and families; - Its vision is a Congo where mothers and girls have equal access to basic social rights as men.

To achieve its objective, develops SOFEPADI field actions through projects and programs. SOFEPADI runs directly on field projects alongside the beneficiaries and in collaboration with local and traditional authorities.

SOFEPADI programs are grouped into three areas:

- Human rights

- Peace and conflict transformation between communities

- Good Governance
