World Renew
About

Compelled by justice and mercy for all people everywhere, World Renew joins communities around the world to renew hope, reconcile lives, and restore the environment.

World Renew partners with local organizations to deliver programming that is community owned and driven. Our integrated approach comes from experience which has shown us that greater and faster change is possible when justice, health, and livelihoods are supported together. Our approach to community development is one that builds the capacity of organizational structures which already exist within communities; community members are part of the process from the beginning and identify the assets and needs within their own community. World Renew works in partnership with local organizations to complement and strengthen what is already in place which intrinsically develops sustainability within the programming. In 2018, World Renew reached approximately 359,950 participants in programs integrating sustainable agriculture, village savings and loans (VSLA), health, nutrition, peace-building, gender justice, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and disaster risk reduction.

World Renew maintains staff and community development programming in 20 countries, working collaboratively with 65 partners, and responds to disasters as they strike, domestically and globally. Countries with a continuous staff presence include Bangladesh, Cambodia, Canada, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Kenya, Laos, Malawi, Mexico, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, United States, West Africa, and Zambia.
