World Vision International is a Christian humanitarian organization working for the well-being of poor and vulnerable people ? especially children ? through sustainable development, disaster relief, raising public awareness and advocating for justice. In 2004 World Vision worked in 96 countries assisting 100 mln people. World Vision came to Armenia fifteen years ago providing emergency aid to the victims of December 1988 devastating earthquake with a cheque for one million dollars and over the next few months delivered nearly $3 million worth of medical supplies and relief. During the next fifteen years WV?s projects have gone beyond meeting the demands of crisis situations to changing the quality of life in entire communities and helping Armenians to restore their country.
