About

The Zambezi Valley Development Agency, abbreviated as the Zambezi Agency, created by Decree No. 23/2010, of 30 June, is a public institute, endowed with legal personality, with administrative and financial autonomy, operating under supervision the Minister who oversees the Planning and Development area.

OBJECT OF ACTION

  • Conducting studies and presenting strategies for economic and social development in the national part of the Zambezi River basin;
  • Technical-financial assistance to economic and social development initiatives in the national part of the Zambezi River basin, including the mobilization of resources and their channeling to beneficiaries;
  • Assistance to Local Governments in the incorporation of planning and territorial planning and local socio-economic development components.

“Promote the socio-economic and sustainable development of the Zambezi Valley, boosting investment between public and private entities and civil society.

VISION

“To be a catalyst for public or private investment opportunities, ensuring the sustainable use and exploitation of the resources of the Zambezi watershed, contributing to the rapid economic and social development of the region.”
