ZECCO Ltd. is leading the construction industry in Zambia for the last 4 decades. The company is owned by Energoprojekt, Belgrade, Republic of Serbia (100% owners of ZECCO Ltd, http://www.energoprojekt.rs/ and since incorporation in Zambia (1966) excelled in executing (and designing) the most innovative, challenging, timeless projects in real estate, industrial, communal and other areas.
During 1990-ies, their work and presence in Zambia was affected by changes in socio-politic as well as economic climate and constrained by the situation in Yugoslavia, their home country. As the situation and business environment changed, they continue providing the best possible, leading edge service again (as they did many times before) to both public and private sector clients.

History
ZECCO Ltd was established in 1966. as a joint venture company between the Zambian Government and Energoprojekt Engineering and Contracting Company of Belgrade, Yugoslavia. Energoprojekt was the partner who managed affairs of ZECCO. Up to mid-eighties, ZECCO was leading Zambian contracting company having on it's record most of the major projects in buildings and civil engineering, some of which are illustrated on this site (as it is impossible to count them all). ZECCO Ltd was having separate entities (companies) dealing with specific tasks like: ZECCO Furniture, ZECCO Steel, ZECCO Airconditioning, etc. Projects handled were in buildings construction, industrial, mining, civil engineering, power engineering, etc. Simultaneously and with ZECCO’s assistance, ENERGOPROJEKT executed the largest single power project in Zambia-Kafue Gorge Project. In 1996 the Company was privatized, i.e. Energoprojekt bought all the shares and at present is the sole owner of ZECCO.
