On February 11, 2006, under the High Presidency of His Majesty King Mohamed VI, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed and mandated the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) through the Zenata Development Corporation (SAZ) for the design and layout of the Eco-Cité Zenata. The SAZ also monitors the overall coherence of the project, its development and its implementation.
Declared of public utility in March 2006, the Eco-Cité Zenata was conceived with the aim of offering an optimal quality of life to its current and future inhabitants.
The Eco-City Zenata, one of the last strategic reserves of Greater Casablanca, is a modern and dynamic service city whose ambition is to reduce the socio-economic imbalances between the East (Zone Anfa) and the West (Aïn Zone). Sbaa / Sidi Bernoussi) of Greater Casablanca and promote social and spatial diversity through the creation of jobs with high added value.
The Zenata territory now counts more than 8,000 slum households and 245 industries which represent a social and economic stake essential for the Eco-Cité Zenata. By putting people at the center of the project, the concern is to preserve employment and improve the quality of life.
