Zonful Energy was established in 2016 with the intention of providing affordable solar solutions to off-grid communities in Zimbabwe. It is a for-profit social enterprise that sells small and large solar home systems on a PAYG basis to rural and peri-urban consumers in Zimbabwe. The clients purchase their systems on credit from Zonful and pay monthly instalments of up to 18 months and payments are made through the mobile money platform that monitors customer usage and records monthly payment transactions.
