International Development professional with over 15 years of experience as an agricultural Technical Specialist and Program Manager, helping organizations design and implement innovative solutions to poverty and hunger. My experience includes both managerial and field-based technical roles within various development agencies and NGOs in the United States, Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean. I bring advanced technical knowledge and competencies in agricultural and livelihood development, adult teaching and learning, and resilience in support of programming targeting the ultra-poor and people emerging from crises. Further skills include capacity building, social and behavior change, ICTs for development, and gender and youth inclusiveness. Through attainment of my PhD and subsequent high-level research and reporting, I possess the requisite planning, analytical, and writing skills needed to manage complex tasks and projects, meet deadlines, and produce high-quality reports and publications that are valuable to stakeholders and donors. I also lead and contribute to developing high-impact proposals that secure funding and enhance my organization’s profile. As a leader, educator, communicator, facilitator, and advocate, I successfully establish solid professional and personal relationships with diverse individuals in cross-cultural settings while maintaining high ethical and quality standards, a professional demeanor, and a cooperative attitude. I enjoy working with governments, NGOs, private sector actors, academic institutions, and with farmers to generate innovative solutions to challenging problems.
