Agricultural economist with over 20 years' experience undertaking research for development in agricultural and food security in Africa with special emphasis on: • Partnership formation and management • Resource mobilization and management • Project coordination & management, monitoring and evaluation, impact assessment studies • Reports and communicating of projects outputs and outcomes, including success stories • Household and market surveys; economic analysis • Agriculture extension and policy related studies at country and regional level. • Plant health issues to ensure improved food security/safety • Youth & Women economic empowerment and gender equity issues • Champion safety at work place Extensive experience in specific themes including ICT4 Ag (ICT for Agriculture), capacity building of the National Agriculture scientists to use Android phones for data collection, use of Open data kits (ODK) and use of GIS as a tool in data collection in order to link the biophysical, social, plant health and spatial characteristics of the selected samples. I have experience working in the following countries in Africa: Kenya, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Nigeria, Mali, Uganda, Ethiopia, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Zambia and Somalia. Also, an external examiner at the University of Nairobi, Department of Agricultural Economics.
