I'm a graduate from The George Washington University in Washington DC having completed a Bachelor's of Arts in International Affairs and Economics (with a concentration in International Development). My internships and work experience have taken me to different places in the world and I've had the pleasure to work with organizations like the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), The American Red Cross, United Nations Information Center and the Pakistani Embassy in Washington D.C. My work experience has given me a thorough understanding of the operation of NGOs; like understanding NGO-donor relationships and executions of long term projects. I have carried out research, undertaken field-work, made presentations, worked on databases, written letters /proposals, conducted interviews, managed travel arrangements and worked as a teaching assistant. In my spare time I enjoy debating (University Debating Team & University Model UN Team), football, cricket and acting (University Acting & Playwright Society). I have strong communication, organizational and presentation skills. I was Head Delegate for both the George Washington and UMASS Amherst Model UN teams and won Best Delegate Award at three conferences in New York, Philadelphia and DC. I also speak English, Punjabi and Urdu fluently and am working on my French and Bengali.
