Aidan Stretch

Mr Stretch is a co-founder and director of Syngenera, a natural capital asset management company with operations in Southeast Asia. During his tenure at Syngenera, Mr Stretch has been responsible for business development, investment analysis & project development. Mr Stretch was responsible for evaluating multiple investment opportunities in Myanmar, Indonesia and the Philippines. Before Syngenera, Mr Stretch was a co-founder and senior advisor to Synova, a waste-to-energy company with operations in the US, Europe and Asia. During his tenure at Synova, Mr Stretch was responsible for business development, investment analysis and project development in Asia. Mr Stretch was responsible for evaluating multiple investment opportunities in Asia. Mr Stretch has recently joined FullCycle Development, an affiliate of FullCycle Fund, which is a major shareholder in Synova to focus on project development globally. Mr Stretch is a seasoned climate finance professional with 20 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, project development, project finance and environmental management consulting. Mr Stretch has been conducting business in Asia since 2000, specifically in China, India and Southeast Asia, where he has developed extensive knowledge and contacts focused in the climate finance sector. Mr Stretch has been a senior consultant and advisor to the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Asian Development Bank (ADB), USAID and other public and private sector clients in Asia. Mr Stretch was a co-founder and managing director of Sinova Capital, a cleantech merchant bank. Prior to Sinova, Mr Stretch was a managing director of a Shanghai-based private equity firm, Cathay Fortune Corporation (CFC). Before CFC, Mr Stretch was a managing director at Broadmark Capital, a technology-focused boutique investment bank, where he was responsible for managing the corporate finance practice. Mr Stretch graduated from the University of Liverpool in Architecture and completed his Executive MBA studies at the University of Washington. Please refer to the annex specific project experience.
