I am a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist and development worker with over fifteen years of experience in M&E of projects, programmes and policies in Ghana. I have experience in monitoring and evaluation systems and worked on long term assignments for major international donors USAID, MCC, CIDA, and UNDP. I have the experience in the policy formulation process, and in implementing development projects in complex settings. To carry out my assignments I collaborated with public officers and I understand the sensitivity to hierarchies and political dynamics within the public sector. I also have experience in delivering M&E reports to meet the conditions set by donors to trigger the transfer of funds. I have experience in designing and implementing M&E systems to meet the needs of the relevant stakeholders; capacity building for M&E for public officers, civil society, and project implementing partners. I have developed M&E plans for organisations that I have worked for, complete with setting performance indicators, tracking and reporting on indicators and writing quarterly reports to donors. I have worked with management information systems to analyze data and supervise data collection with mobile data collection systems. My practical experience includes planning and design and implementation of M&E systems in the agricultural sector. I have an excellent understanding of rural and agricultural development issues related to marketing, private sector development, decentralization and participation of farmer organisations in development projects. I have used M&E methods and approaches including quantitative, qualitative, and participatory approaches in surveys, and evaluations. I also have managerial experience and knowledge of strategic planning approaches; public policies including gender mainstreaming gender into development programmes. As a senior technical lead on projects I have practical experience in the following processes: - Annual Work Planning and Budgeting sessions of projects - Coordination of agriculture policy formulation and implementation processes - Coordination of agriculture policy research studies - Organisation of national agriculture policy research summits and dissemination of such studies and recommendations - Improving the organizational capacities of civil society and private-sector to participate in the policy process - Policy advocacy, including evidence-based advocacy using gender dis-aggregated data - Organized the training of CSOs on sources and use of evidence for gender inclusion advocacy, i.e., the inclusion of the rights of women farmers in agriculture programmes - Working closely with directorates of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture - SRID, WIAD, PPMED (Policy Unit), and M&E Division - Organised and trained over 150 MOFA staff on Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) mobile data collection with SRID along with AEAs and District Statistics Agents and officers (DASAs & DASOs) - Organised Knowledge sharing and learning sessions that involves analysis, documentation and dissemination of information and lessons learned - Hosted external project reviewers and participated in review of projects - Assessed the M&E capacities of implementing partners, and organised capacity building training - Coordinated and supervised the training of farmer-based organizations under the MiDA program - I have excellent computer skills and can train other project staff in advanced ICT skills
