Mr. Uriza Ferretti has contributed to the management of programs and projects, strategic decision-making, and the performance of officials in development cooperation for more than 20 years. He is considered a professional generalist, developing skills and knowledge in development cooperation in areas such as monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, program management, fundraising, budget management and project management, in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments, in the fields of public health, rural finance, agriculture and communication for behavioural change. Certified in 2016 as an international consultant for topic of Public health, he has received training as a consultant certification by Grant Management Solutions (GMS). In the field of development, he has conducted several assessments, provided technical assistance, and designed process tools for monitoring and evaluation. Additionally, he has developed information systems for baselines, with emphasis on management of health public, social change and environmental performance. Work of note: the final evaluation of Finland’s bilateral programmes in the health sector in Nicaragua and evaluation the impact of Dutch Cooperation in Health and Sexual and Reproductive Rights in Nicaragua from 2004-2009. He has received training as a consultant certified by GMS to provide international technical assistance to the countries who receive funding from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in the areas of monitoring and evaluation, Principal Recipient Management, Country Coordinating Mechanism Governance and Oversight, and using the GMS approach, characterized by the timely provision of high-quality technical support delivered in a participatory manner in complex environments. He has extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative research, especially in planning and facilitating surveys, online surveys, online training focus groups, open-ended interviews and participatory methods, and development of capacity-building processes through training courses for decision-makers. He has extensive experience in Nicaragua and international consultancy experience in El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Mozambique and regional interventions for LAC.
