Andrés Cadena is a Director at McKinsey & Company and is the leader of our Public and Social Sector Practices in Latin America. Mr. Cadena works mostly with national/local governments and multilaterals, supporting them to transform entities and governments, as well as to address their most pressing issues in economic development, capability building and matters related to primary education. Additionally, Andrés oversees McKinsey´s relationship with top financial institutions and consumer good conglomerates in Latin America.
Mr. Cadena served from 2002 to 2010 as member of the Consultative Committee of Colombia’s President. He is a founder and board member of the Private Council of Competitiveness of Colombia, a chair member of the advisory Board of the Colombian Minister of Education, and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Simon Business School (University of Rochester). He is a frequent speaker in local and international seminars on financial and organizational subjects, and has published several articles and documents on urban and economic development (i.e. Journal of International Finance, World Economic Forum, The Economist, The McKinsey Quarterly).
