Anindo Chatterjee currently works as a Senior Social Development Specialist with the World Bank in India. He has over 20 years of experience in international development, governance reforms, systems strengthening, corporate governance risk management and business sustainability. In the area of international development, governance reforms and systems strengthening Anindo has worked as an advisor to several federal and state governments in countries across the South Asia region on large, transformational social and economic development programmes funded by multilateral and bilateral donor agencies like the World Bank, ADB, DFID, giz, JBIC, and others. As a corporate governance risk and business sustainability expert, Anindo works extensively with international financial institutions (IFIs, like IFC and ADB), development finance institutions (DFIs, like CDC, Proparco, FMO, DEG, kfw, etc.), banks, private equity firms and private sector companies to embed sustainability and international standards of corporate governance and business integrity in their and their clients’ corporate strategies and operating plans. In the last two decades, Anindo has worked extensively in the following sectors: • Social sustainability and inclusion • Social risk management • Responsible finance • Public health & nutrition • Water supply, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) • Infrastructure • Forestry • Agriculture; and • Participatory Local Governance
