Anna Brown is a multi-sector leader with 22 years of professional experience in global philanthropy, global non-governmental organizations, community development, and consulting. Her life and career have focused on addressing two of the most pressing issues of our time: climate and social equity. Anna is an adept strategic thinker grounded in practice and implementation, having managed several multi-million-dollar portfolios that span diverse geographies and contexts in Africa, Asia, and North America. An interdisciplinary practitioner with robust leadership skills, Anna orients to climate resilience with a strong understanding of multiple hazards – both those directly linked to climate change as well as other factors, like social and economic vulnerability. Anna serves on several boards at the local, state, and national scales, in addition to actively participating in efforts to promote equity, justice, and climate action in her own community. Anna earned an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from Brown University and a Master in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
