13 years of progressive work experience within the Private and Development sector with experience spanning across South Asia, South East Asia, Europe and West Africa. Specialist in the domain of Partnerships and Resource mobilization, Advocacy and Fundraising, Innovation, Training and Development, Capacity Strengthening, Sales and Business Development and Strategy Development. As a Partnership Officer, with the United Nations World Food Programme in Nigeria, I managed a portfolio of traditional and non-traditional donors including government donors, private sector partners and development partners. Managed all aspects of a partnerships portfolio to maximize resources and leveraged policy and technical support for forwarding the organizations mandate. Represented WFP in external meetings, and increased visibility and secured WFP’s positioning in decision making within specific thematic areas. As a lead for Innovations, fostered a culture of innovations in the country office, keeping the dialogue high up in the country office agenda. Participated in an Innovation Bootcamp in Munich, hosted by WFP Innovation Accelerator in Munich, advised and coached a local private sector startup during ideation & product development to design a pilot for small holder farmers access to markets (SAMS) in northeast Nigeria. At the core of programmatic considerations, I am a strong advocate for gender equality. I have represented WFP Nigeria as a panelist to speak on |Building a culture of Innovation in a humanitarian setting” in an event hosted in Munich for the 23 member states of the Humanitarian Aid and Food Aid (COHAFA) and emphasized on the need to innovate within the humanitarian community, particularly highlighting the status quo of the humanitarian innovation ecosystem in Nigeria. Previously as an Advocacy Manager for Asia Pacific, engaged in ongoing dialogues of sustainability with private sector actors in the food industry, and generated commitments from large and medium brands to keep sustainability at the core of their business operations. As head of Sales and Business Development in the Private Sector, my efforts have been recognized with leadership and managerial excellence awards for the highest sales turnover for three consecutive years.
