Registered Architect with over 32yrs of architectural experience and capable in designing, managing and coordinating infrastructure project assessments and building upgrades. Currently working as a freelance Architect Consultant for a few community projects. Previously contracted with Pro-Designers Architects Ltd as Senior Architect/ Project Manager for the construction of the new Food Court for Suva Central Building (2017-2018). Worked with Maisuria Design Ltd ( Architects) from 2014-2017 for the design of Hotels, Mix-Commercial buildings and up-market Residential Apartments including individual Housing projects. Also worked with the Fiji Government (from 2001-2013) in the Architects division for 12yrs as a Principal Architect/Project Manager and Technical Consultant for most capital projects. Tasks include; carrying out planning, design, tender process and contract administration and supervision for construction of new and upgrading of Hospitals, Correctional and Educational facilities including Staff and Office Accommodation. Roles and Responsibilities briefly involves: Organising meeting with client for briefing Scoping of works and estimates Collaborate with other consultants and organise design team Prepare outline schematic Design plans and confirm budget limits Review design with team and finalise for clients approval Carry out detail design and specification Obtain quotation for PC items Prepare tender documents and contract signing Advise client on financial arrangement and contract administration Carry out compliance inspections Maintain and coordinate progress throughout and reporting to client Issue instructions and certification of payments and practical completion Initiate action for commissioning and testing of the works. Collaborate on final inspection and issue of final certificate up to completion, commissioning and handover (closure).
