Armida Lizárraga is an educational researcher with particular strength in curriculum design, research design, monitoring and evaluation, grant writing, and educational material development. Her primary field is children's language and literacy development, though she has done work in other areas including,international educational policy, teacher training, and early childhood education. She worked as a teacher in international schools in Spain, Brazil, Peru and the U.S. public school system. She worked for 4 years as a Research Associate and Project Manager at Harvard University where she obtained an Ed.M. in 2008 in Language and Literacy and International Education Policy. She just finished leading Estudio 3 regiones in Peru, which looked to understand teacher's literacy practices and knowledge in K-3 classrooms. For it she has designed observation protocols and teacher surveys, trained research assistants, monitored classroom observations, and analyzed the data.
