Among others, her current areas of work include disaster risk reduction and management; climate change adaptation; coastal adaptation and resilience; integrated coastal zone management planning and coastal policy development; multi-hazard evaluation and mapping, the design of climate resilient solutions, specifically, structural (hard and soft – nature-based) and non-structural mitigation measures, and the social aspects of resilience (e.g. gender, vulnerable population, livelihoods etc.), for tropical cyclone, erosion and flood hazards.
