Caroline is an engineer by education, supplemented by an MBA. Her technical and commercial profile has made her a well rounded professional who not only understands the technical design of projects but also the commercial and regulatory environment in which they must operate. She has 10 years working experience in renewable energy and energy efficiency with hands-on experience in designing, developing, financing and monitoring energy projects in Africa. She has successfully led teams in technical and commercial studies of renewable energy and energy efficiency options, project feasibility studies, energy audits, system designs, tenders, installation, and after-service support including monitoring and evaluation. She has developed a deep knowledge of DFI financial instruments, processes and procedures through undertaking various assignments both as an energy specialist and investment specialist. Her work involves working closely with African governments and the private sector.
