I have worked in Natural Resource based development primarily in Latin America with stints in South and Southeast Asia and the US. Using and developing markets to support conservation is my focus. I continue to work with forest communities in S. Mexico and the N. Guatemala. I am at the University of Minnesota running an interdisciplinary center working with researchers and outstate partners to promote sustainable land use based on herbaceous and woody perennial systems and forest management.
