I ‘am credited with effective & efficient supply chain & procurement leadership across firms I have worked for over the years. While supporting project activities in over 30 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Latin America, my role consistently provides a seamless bridge connecting finance, Operations, and diverse projects. I have tackled procurement and supply chain management tasks in private and public sectors, interacting with stakeholders such as: business service providers- on and offshore, The world Bank, European Union, Ericsson, Huawei, World Agroforestry, Strathmore University, Government Ministries and agencies such as National treasury, Devolution, Water, Natural Resources, state department for Immigration & Citizen Service, Transport & Infrastructure, ICT Authority Kenya among others. Typical routine in my career see me working on broad and specific sourcing strategies for various procurement needs across diverse countries: I regularly review supply markets for various inputs to global projects, Operations & research activities, checking for suitability, price and availability to deliver; conduct negotiations on short- and long-term supply and partnership agreements; continuously build capacity of team members and other stakeholders for equal appreciation of joint strategic goals; drive value for money with a focus on optimum human and capital resource use to achieve set targets; performance monitoring & evaluation, relationship management; regular reporting and forecasting to enrich strategies and inform future decisions and safeguards. Risk based management is my forte while navigating local and international supply source for pertinent inputs. I have carried out all these within a mix of ERP platforms, appropriate decision support systems, best practices, applicable policies, and guidelines.
