I am Devika Mehra, PhD in Public Health from Lund University (Sweden) and Msc in International Health Management and Development, University of Birmingham (UK). I have programmatic experience of working with UNIFEM, UNAIDS and MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child in Asia (NGO in India) and Lund University. My experience includes working with partners on Sexual reproductive health and rights, gender based violence, unintended pregnancy, NCDs, STI and HIV/AIDS in adolescents, young people and key populations. I have done monitoring and evaluation of youth information centres for improving sexual and reproductive health of young people in India. My technical experience includes coordination, program management, preparing training modules, preparing concept notes, proposals for international donors and writing analytical reports on various thematic areas. My research experience (quantitative and qualitative) was in Uganda and South Africa focusing on Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and Rights, HIV, alcohol, sexual violence, mental health and gender. As a research Associate at Lund University I have done data analysis and evaluation of a multi-country European Union project on early marriage and early pregnancy in India, Nepal and Bangladesh. I have recently been doing Independent consultancy assignments for SIDA (Swedish International Development Agency), WHO (Geneva) and an NGO (MAMTA) in India conducting systematic reviews of interventions and approaches working in low to middle income countries on HIV, teenage pregnancy, adolescent key populations and child brides.
