Dr Khan is a medical graduate (MBBS) with MPH from Australia and post graduation in Health Economics from Cape-Town University (South Africa). He has completed several career development executive advanced level courses in health system and social development from renowned international Institutions/Universities. He has served diverse clients such as the Ministry of Health, German Development Cooperation (GIZ), UNICEF and internationally for Planning Commission Qatar. During these assignments worked with the highest decision making bodies including Ministers' Cabinet, topmost Civil Service offices /Bureocracies with increasing responsibilities in leadership and front-line operations. He has gained practical experience and academic knowledge of broader areas of health and hospital sectors’ reforms/policies/strategies including: Healthcare Financing/Social Protection /Health Insurance/ Funding & Payment Mechanisms, Decentralization/Autonomy/Public Private Partnership , Clinical Governance, MNCH, Nutrition, HIV/AIDS, Emergency Preparedness and Response, Scientific evaluation/s of Projects/Programs, Organization Development/Change Management. Skilled in policy advocacy, facilitating stakeholder dialogue and building partnerships at different levels of government, development agencies and civil society, he has understanding of project/programs’ financial and procurement management. He is fluent in English, Urdu and Pashto; computer literate , has excellent report writing and presentation skills and experienced as visiting faculty/trainer/advisor/mentor/ consultant & moderator. With a problem solving and result oriented attitude, Dr Khan is a team player with excellent communication and networking skills; keeping poise and professionalism during times of pressure and in difficult environments.
