Dr Eshetu is passionate about social policy and how governments and people can work together to fight against poverty and inequality, with the vulnerable communities as the highest priority. He always wanted to do something for people who are poor and suffering from humanitarian crises, to try to make a difference in their lives. Over the past three decades, Dr Eshetu’s career took him into a range of roles in various places – worked in many countries and his travels have taken him to more than 70 countries in six continents. He is seasoned and results-driven, strategic and competent government/CSOs/NGOs leader, Programs, Policy, Advocacy, communications director in both the humanitarian and development contexts, adept in representation, offering wide-ranging experience in non- government, government and development Planning, Program/Project and strategy Development Quality and Implementation, Coordination, MEAL, reporting and documenting, programs and operations management. Adept at spearheading project/programs cycle management, fundraising and grants management, influencing, government and donor relations and partnership, capacity building, and workshops facilitation, as well as managing and building diverse teams and staff toward attainment of organizational goals and bottom- line results both in humanitarian and development contexts. Armed with unparalleled work ethic, along with proven capabilities to accomplish increasing levels of responsibilities through excellent leadership and interpersonal and problem-solving aptitudes.
